Making of the first Mumzel Collection

The first Mumzel NFT collection has been online for a while now. there are 50 different Mumzels in this collection, each with its own little short story and name. the Mumzels are also made in different styles. you can actually see in this collection how the Mumzels are evolving in design

Tristi is the First Mumzel I made in this collection.

you can see this Mumzel half in the picture with a fairly simple arm and I used colors as background.

The first Mumzels I actually made all half, with Mumzel 3 I used my own photo for the first time as background and started to use these homemade photos more and more as you can see with Mumzel 6 and 7

From Mumzel nr 8, I really started using my own pictures as a background for the Mumzels and tried to get the Mumzel involved with the background.

When you get to the Mumzel (8) you see that I try to make the hair, during this collection I am continuously developing the hair of the Mumzel and you can also see that I have added a shoulder in the same color.

The eyes also continue to develop.

Arms – holding objects

In the Mumzels above you see that the Arms come more and more into view I also try to get the Mumzels to hold objects

I use different mouths and different ways to improve the fur and hair of the Mumzels.

Interactive with the background

From Mumzel 19 I tried to make the Mumzels interactive with the background.

I made the Mumzels into objects.

All photos I use are made by myself and I only use objects/stuff that I own or have bought myself.

for the animals if they are not my own I had permission to photograph them

You also see that some of these Mumzels actually have no hair or fur at all. some Mumzels have added legs. Mumzel Drup nr 24 was the first complete Mumzel in this collection.

little fact: Mumzel Drup nr 24 is also the only Mumzel with his eyes closed in this collection

I gave every Mumzel a name, only at a certain point I couldn’t think of names anymore. so I had named some Mumzels after Friends of Mine, their nickname and character.

So these Mumzels really exist

And what should of course not be missing

is a Mumzel on the roof

And then ..

I made 2 Mumzels with cool eyes and cool hair, a whole new style

I was in love.

This was the style I wanted to continue with, in the latest collection the Mumzels I made all have such hairs as a base background. (collection still to come) Also the eyes are a lot more evolved with more detail and color.

I personally think number 50 is the most beautiful from the first collection,

The only drawback is that it is very dark and I can’t really use it well in other content that I make.

So this Mumzel actually always stays in this background and won’t be able to edit it properly in other content.

I also included a Mumzel in this Collection that I named after my daughter “Robin” because in the end my daughter was the inspiration 10 years ago to write a children’s book about the mumzels when she was 2, I wanted to introduce her to the Mumzels so I started writing a children’s book.

I had drawn this Mumzel in 2016

At the moment, if you buy one of the Mumzels from this collection, you get a Blog and a place in the world of the Mumzels on our website for your own project as an NFT holder. many NFT collectors also have their own NFT project so want to give something back. the utility of the next collection will be more focused on people without an NFT project and more on the Mumzels themselves.

in the next Blog I will tell you more about the new collection.

The First collection is also not sold out yet, so it is still possible to get a Blog about your own project on the Mumzel website and social media.

Only the NFTs will soon all have to be put up for sale again because the first 6 months of selling is over.

To reward the current Mumzel holders and because writing Blogs is a lot of work,

The price of the Mumzels from the first collection will at least double 10x.

when new collection comes out.

"Do you hear strange noises on the roof at night? Don't be afraid, it's probably the Mumzels! The Mumzels are creatures that live around us at night, searching for food and items they like to take back to their nest. They can be recognized by their big eyes and feelers on their heads, but they are not easily seen by humans as they consider us dangerous. We have all experienced waking up to an empty cookie jar or misplacing something, only to find it later. This is likely the work of Mumzels in your home. The Mumzels started as a children's book in 2012 and made their way into the NFT, crypto, and Web3 world in February 2022. In addition to their own English blog website, they are also active on social media like Twitter and various NFT communities."
