It is morning ,
my mother wakes me up, I have to go to school later. I didn’t see any Mumzels last night, it was my cat sophie. I get out of bed and get dressed.
Out of curiosity I look in the corner for a while but see nothing. A little disappointed but also relieved.

I walk downstairs. There my father is sitting at the table with the newspaper.
“Good morning bram have you heard Mumzels?”
I look at him and say in an angry voice “Mumzels don’t exist” you are kidding me Dad.
My father starts to laugh a bit and says: no, bram I wouldn’t dare to fool you. They really exist. You have to have patience. when the time comes you will see a Mumzel.

“I don’t believe it at all”, last night it was just our cat Sophie.
I grab my sandwiches and sit on the couch in front of the TV .
Eat fast because I have to go to school.
Not much later I am on my way to school and keep thinking about those Mumzels .
My friend Karin comes walking next to me. “Hello bram, shall we meet after school?

” I answer hi Karin that’s good maybe we can see if we can find mumzels .. Karin looks at me weird, mumzels? What are those? According to my father, they are creatures that look for food on our roof at night.
Karin doesn’t understand it, they don’t exist, she says right away. I thought so too, but my father says they do exist. ” Your father is crazy laughs Karin ” no my father is not crazy but I do not believe that mumzels were, last night I looked and it was the cat.
“You see,” says Karin, “there are no mumzels, they don’t exist.”
I look at her but don’t answer. maybe Karin thinks I’m crazy too.
I Won’t tell anyone at school right away, because what do the other children think of me? Do you believe that mumzels exist?
