In 2024, we gifted free NFTs to our loyal Mumzel holders every single month! That’s 240 NFTs sent out monthly as a thank-you for their support.
This week, they will receive their last free NFT, marking the end of a wonderful year of giving.
Start of 2024
Unfortunately, in January, the Mumzels fell victim to a scam, losing $400 in crypto. But, true to their mischievous spirit, they turned it into a funny story for the community to enjoy.
From Revel.xyz to Phaver
The year started with the Mumzels selling and collecting art on Revel.xyz, but sadly, the platform shut down. Luckily, the Mumzels quickly found a new home on Phaver, a Web3 social media app. Thanks to our Belgian friends who recommended it, the Mumzels grew a lively community there. It was a fantastic platform to connect with fans and share our adventures.
Luma Dreammachine: Bringing Mumzels to Life
In the summer, the game-changing Luma Dreammachine entered the picture. This tool transformed Mumzel illustrations into vibrant animations. We even won a year-long subscription (worth €10,000!) by participating in their competition. With this tool, the Mumzels truly came to life!
We’ve been creating animations with love and excitement, but it brought a challenge: how could we ensure consistency in our Mumzel designs? Enter Scenario.com!
Scenario.com: Perfecting the Mumzels
Scenario.com became a game-changer for us. Using their new Flux model, we trained custom AI models to create Mumzels that looked consistent while retaining their unique charm. No more random design quirks—just adorable, recognizable Mumzels every time!
Thanks to Scenario, we could create even better animations that captured the essence of the Mumzels, helping us level up our storytelling.
Growing on Social Media
Armed with tools like Scenario and Luma, we focused on expanding our social media presence. On TikTok, we’re nearing 1,100 followers. Instagram holds steady at 275, and YouTube has grown from 0 to 310 followers in just a few months.
We post daily Mumzel stories, which is a lot of work for a one-person team, but seeing the growing fanbase makes it all worth it. More and more people are discovering the Mumzels, and that’s all we could ever hope for.
The Mumzel Book: Coming in 2025
The Mumzel book is well underway! The story of Bruno, the purple Mumzel, will be the centerpiece of this project. While we couldn’t finish it in 2024, the delay allowed us to improve the story and create stunning new illustrations.
The book is set to release in 2025, and we’re thrilled to share Bruno’s adventures with the world.
