The new year is already a few months underway and we are already in March. Behind the scenes in the Mumzel forest, a lot has happened recently. From new adventures to an overwhelming amount of new friends: we would love to bring you completely up to speed!
A New Adventure: From YouTube to TikTok
The Mumzels are always looking for the best place to share their stories. You might have noticed it’s been a bit quiet on our YouTube channel lately. Because the rules on YouTube have changed (and AI-generated content like our magical Shorts is being shown less often), our daily videos unfortunately received fewer viewers.
We only post there occasionally now, but we did set our YouTube account specifically to ‘Kids’. This way, it will always remain a safe, shielded, and cheerful place for children to watch the Mumzels!
Magic on Dutch TikTok: 2 Million Viewers! ✨
When a little door closed on YouTube, a gigantic magical portal opened on TikTok! Late last year, we started a special Dutch TikTok account and what happened there, the Mumzels never dared to dream…
We started making special video requests for our Dutch fans. Think of cheerful birthday wishes, sweet get-well messages, or just a funny message where the Mumzels speak directly to the children.
And wow… within 28 days we had over 2 million viewers! To give you an idea: it took our English account a whole year to gather 250,000 viewers. In the month of February alone, we jumped from 600 to 3100 followers. Thank you for this warm welcome!
Requesting a Personalized Mumzel Video (The Rules)
Currently, the Mumzels receive about 15 to 30 requests per day. We have already conjured up more than 500 short, personalized video clips (often around 8 seconds) for you!
We absolutely love doing this and, as long as we have the time, we do it completely for free. This way we can decide how long the videos will be, ensure the magic is preserved, and keep it 100% safe for the Mumzels and the viewers.
Because the Mumzels sometimes get a bit dizzy from all the messages, we’ve set a few small ‘Mumzel rules’ for requesting a video:

Keep it magical and cheerful: The person the video is for must be nice! We absolutely do not make videos with hurtful, sexual, or harmful content. We protect our Mumzels and our viewers.

Everything in one message: Send all the information you want in the video directly to us in one complete message.

No chatting, just crafting: We will only respond to your message once the video is actually finished. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to chat with everyone all day long on TikTok.

A little patience: We set aside about 2 to 3 hours every day at the Mumzel headquarters to make videos. So it might sometimes take a few days before your video is ready and posted!
