Colin from the Squibbles recently visited the Netherlands as part of his world tour, an adventure that has taken him from the vibrant cities of America to the atmospheric landscapes of England. Although the Netherlands may not have been the most extraordinary stop on his journey, it still brought him joy and unforgettable moments.

During his stay, Colin was accompanied by our son to school, where he took the students on a virtual journey through his experiences in various countries, sharing stories about the Squibbles and Jay Stansfield. His visit coincided with the festive period of Carnival in North Brabant, a time when the streets come alive with colorful floats and revelers. It was during a local parade that Colin truly felt immersed in Dutch culture, charmed by its creativity and sense of community.

The Dutch cuisine, with its simple yet comforting delicacies, also made a lasting impression on Colin. Every morning, he looked forward to breakfast with chocolate flakes or sprinkles, and stroopwafels quickly became a favorite treat.

A visit to the zoo was the perfect end to his time in the Netherlands, where he not only observed the local fauna, such as monkeys and bears, but also a rare panda bear. The indoor playground offered a playful escape, and the day ended sneakily with a hamburger at a fast-food restaurant, a nod to the global culture of comfort food.

The nocturnal discovery of the mysterious Mumzels, a unique aspect of his stay, added a layer of magic to his adventures in the Netherlands. These encounters took place in the bedroom of my son Finn, where Colin often slept, reminding him that wonders can be found all over the world.

Now, as his travel suitcase is being packed, Colin is ready to continue his journey to Spain, full of new energy and enriched with experiences from the Netherlands. His adventures will soon continue, and we look forward to the stories that are yet to come.
