Year of the Mumzelhunt “2023”

The year 2023 was truly a resounding success for the Mumzels! They didn’t have a dull moment and enthusiastically dove into their work. It was a year full of fascinating developments and the forging of valuable connections in the web3 environment.

January

In January, the Mumzels participated in an event on the Polygon blockchain with avatar inferno. The Mumzels launched brand new merchandise in our webshop at spreadshirt.com and we discovered all the amazing applications of AI for the Mumzels.

Let’s use these amazing assistive tools to produce an abundance of beautiful animations, translations, Photoshop creations, and videos for the Mumzelhunters!

February

It was the beginning of the Mumzelhunt! In February 2023, we launched the Mumzelhunt! Five different collections in five months. It started with the Early portraits, only 10 unique Mumzels for sale for 5 matic.

Within a few days, they were all sold out, and the hunt began!

The first hunters began collecting as many Mumzels as possible.

The first 10 Mumzelhunters that bought a Early Portrait Mumzel and the number of Mumzel NFTs they have captured in the past year, with completing quests, free drops, participating in giveaways, and Mumzels purchased or minted.

The Mumzels opened there own Discord Server in February, a place where community members can come together to collect virtual cookies by participating in different activities. With these, they can then buy unique NFTs with our valuable cookie coins.

Over the past year, our server has undergone an impressive transformation. Last week, we proudly cleaned up the Discord, removing some channels to make everything more organized and accessible, and to provide a unique experience to the community. We are extremely excited about the future of our server and can’t wait to share even more exciting developments with you!

In February, the Mumzels also purchased a number of Troglodyte NFTs to expand their collection. This helps a foundation dedicated to providing educational materials, food, and clothing to underprivileged children in Sierra Leone, and ultimately aims to establish an entire education center to aid local communities. It’s a very exciting NFT project with high expectations for the future and a good cause in which they help whole communities in Sierra Leone.

DONATIONS AND COLLABORATIONS WITH NFTURBANDRAGONS

NFTurbandragons has set up a beautiful donation campaign to support the Troglodytes with one of her enchanting dragon collections. In February, the Mumzels also purchased one of her breathtaking NFTs. Together, we have created a magical story about her inspiring Mumzel Foezel and the majestic dragons. You can read it below and let yourself be carried away by this enchanting adventure.

In March, the Mumzels in the Dark were launched as the second collection in the Mumzelhunt collections. At the same time, we created a special edition Mumzelhunt collection to launch the free drops that the Hunters collected onto the blockchain.

Last year in March, the Mumzels took part in an auction to acquire a Funky Heart from Cynthia Steenkamp.

The Mumzels had been on the lookout for a lovely funky heart for some time and they spotted their opportunity in this auction. This year April, just like last year, Cynthia will be participating in a New York NFT event, where she will connect with various other artists from our community and present her project and art to more NFT enthusiasts.

April – 5000 followers on Twitter!

In April 2023, the latest Mumzelhunt collection was launched: the 3D Grounded Mumzels!

This time, 25 beautiful Mumzels have been released, and we have sent a free NFT to our holders in April!

But that’s not all – to celebrate reaching 5000 followers on Twitter, we even gave away an exclusive cap. And guess what? Dustydude42079 is the proud winner of this amazing cap! Thank you for your incredible support, Mumzel fans! 🌟

WOLFPACK

The Mumzels and the Metaland Wolf Pack had combined forces in April to create a unique collaboration NFT. This special NFT tells the story of Moonclaw and Nightshade, two wolves on a mission to steal the playing cards that would reveal the locations of the captured members of the Metaland Wolf Pack.

Along the way, they encounter a rare and reclusive species known as the Mumzels, who offer them a golden device on the whitelist to access the Shadowfang club.

THE MAGICAL COLLABORATION

Rockofajs  AND THE MUMZELS DRAG QUEEN NFT STORY

Rockofajs was on a mission to create a captivating collection of 100 unique Dragqueen NFTs, with some being collaborative pieces with other artists, including the Mumzels. Together, they have crafted a powerful vocal story NFT that is available in Rockofajs’ Dragqueen collection.

In April, the Mumzels were actively involved in the Polygon community, successfully acquiring and minting several NFTs.

DAVE SWINBANK FIRST AI NFT AND SECRET PROJECT COLLAB

in April 2023, the Mumzels minted an exclusive NFT that was only available to those who read Dave Swinbank‘s weekly blogs on important topics in Web 3. By getting to know him as a person, readers could learn a lot from his thoughts and insights. This NFT was created using AI, making it even more special.

But that’s not all – Dave also collaborated with Secret Proyect, an incredible NFT artist in Web3 known for creating stunning works of art. Together, they created a unique PFP of Dave in Secret Proyect‘s style. We are incredibly grateful to both artists for their amazing NFTs.

Daturians & Crypto Crew

Last April was filled with exciting NFT mints from various projects, including the Cryptocrew of The Matic Man and the NFT project Daturians. The Mumzels were present at both mints, purchasing NFTs for their own collection and to support these projects.

May

The second Mumzelhunt collection the Mumzels in the dark is now also completely sold out! In total, 30 unique 1/1 Mumzels have found their owner and loving homes from the first 2 collections. But just as May came to a close, the 4th collection was launched – the stunning “Beautiful Background Mumzels“, consisting of 40 unique NFTs with different Mumzels on them.

Just like with the 3D Grounded Mumzels, there are still some Mumzels available for purchase from these collections. Additionally, starting from 2024, you will receive a new Mumzel story every month.

In May, the Mumzels were graciously invited twice to the captivating metaverse realm of Spatial.io. Here, they had the extraordinary chance to showcase their project and connect with other remarkable ventures. Both occasions left an indelible mark on our Mumzels. We were honored to attend Raina’s dinner show on the 13th of May, and then the enthralling Polygon Showcase on the 25th and 26th of May in Spatial.io, orchestrated by the talented team at Creative Owls.

MUMZELS AS COLLECTORS

Of course, the Mumzels themselves enjoy collecting! In May, they bought or received various NFTs, including those from Mystic Muse & Artistic alliance. They added a troll from Fearmynft, some Octopeeps, Creative owl., Dave Swinbank’s blog,  to their collection, among others.

And then it’s already June, half of the year is over! 2023 went by so fast.

The latest Mumzelhunt collection has been launched! There are now 5 different collections with a total of 145 unique 1/1 Mumzels available. The latest collection, Rainbow Edges, contains a whopping 50 unique mumzels! Starting in June, we will continue the Mumzelhunt with special editions featuring stories. Every week, we will release a new NFT with a story.

The Polygon Alliance is organizing a charity event to support the F Cancer Foundation. Their goal is to establish Polygon as the preferred platform for NFTs and DeFi. in 2022, they successfully held an NFT charity auction and raised over $2,750 for the Foundation.

Last year 2023, they are hosting their second annual charity event. The F Cancer Foundation is dedicated to eliminating the threat of cancer through funding, education, advocacy, and patient support. The Polygon Alliance’s NFT charity auction presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the Foundation’s cause.

It is a highly anticipated event for Polygon Alliance members, art enthusiasts, and Foundation supporters. The auction will feature unique digital art donated by artists worldwide, highlighting the potential of NFTs in revolutionizing the art industry. Individuals can get involved by becoming sponsors or donating NFTs, with every contribution making a significant impact in the fight against cancer.

HE MUMZELS FIRST BABY STEPS IN 3D AND AI

The mumzels are taking their very first steps into the world of 3D! Over the past year, we’ve had the joy of exploring various software such as Blender, Spline, GTP-4, Bing, Pica Labs, Scenario.com, Runaway, Picsart, and PowerDirector. This journey has allowed us to breathe life and effects into our stories within the realm of NFTs.

Additionally, we’ve dipped our toes into the world of game development in preparation for future endeavors. Although the prospect of creating games is still a ways off, our current focus is on the creation of a new book, set to be released in 2024. Exciting times lie ahead!

July and August

In July , the Mumzels were on vacation and released a number of stories. The Mumzels introduced the Mumzelhunter animations, created with D-ID and elevenlabs.

This allowed the Mumzelhunt stories to be told by animated Mumzelhunters in the NFTs.

We have set up our Redbubble webshop in August, which means we now have two different webshops for our Mumzel merchandise. This makes it easier for people all around the world to get their hands on the Mumzel shirts from the webshop of their choice.

Mumzels Bought a MiDiPunkzDJ NFT,

Songs of Eden has created a magnificent masterpiece with the “Good Morning” song in august, orchestrated in collaboration with Midipunkz. Imagine people from every corner of the world uniting to showcase their linguistic prowess, all centered around the simple greeting of “good morning”! And the best part?

This captivating musical creation is now available for purchase as an NFT on the Polygon blockchain. How amazing is that?

And suddenly we’re in September

The adventures of the Mumzels had been around for 1 year! To celebrate this, the mint was reopened, and since September, everyone has had the chance to buy a Mumzel for just 1 matic. As an added bonus, for every 5 Mumzels Adventures purchased, you also receive an extra NFT.

Additionally, those who collected 25 Mumzels Adventures gained access to the thrilling Mumzelhunt. We even created a leaderboard to show who had managed to catch the most Mumzels. This leaderboard was publicly available online until the end of 2023. In September, we also created a new story every week for the mumzelhunters, which took on more shape and change. Each time, we tried out new techniques.

In 2024, you still have the chance to mint a Mumzel adventures NFT for just 1 Matic. And if you mint more, you’ll receive 1 free Mumzel NFT with a spell or special edition collection for every 5 Mumzel adventures. And of course, just like all other Mumzel owners, you’ll receive a new story every month in 2024.

In 2023, a few more hunters have joined from august onwards.

Oh là là, we’re sneaking into October now!

Did you also notice that the Mumzels didn’t have much to say about September? Let’s see what they’ve been up to in October. It was the month of Halloween, and they sure do love that! We also got the chance to take part in an online Expo by Lucia PV.

Everyone who participated and found all the hidden Mumzels received a free Mumzel story in honor of her Expo and the builders of the Cyber.io space in the metaverse.

There was a giveaway on Twitter, lots of Mumzel stories, and then on opensea.io… what are you doing to the Mumzels! All the old collections can no longer be modified due to the launch of their new Creator studio. No more NFTs can be uploaded to the Mumzelhunt collections! How are the Mumzels supposed to give stories to the Mumzelhunters now?

Thanks to Dave Swinbank who reminded the Mumzels (Dave had already told the Mumzels, but the Mumzels are stubborn) that we had to make a contract via Thirdweb. So, as they say, so it was done and the Mumzelhunt stories collection was born!

The latest Mumzelhunt collection where we will continue to post Mumzel stories, even this year (2024), because this year we will still be sending out a story every month. However, in 2024, everyone who owns a Mumzel NFT from one of our collections will receive a Mumzel every month.

SQUIBLETS MINT AND 5 YOUNG ARTISTS

Furthermore, in October, the mumzels purchased several NFTs from the Squiblets. Jay Stansfield collaborated with five young artists to create a new Squiblets collection, with the aim of supporting these young talents. Each of these artists has their own unique style and passions, and Jay has built a fantastic Squibbles Island in Roblox where you can further explore their worlds.

Jay has created a unique island for each of the five young artists – Jacktuber, Rosewolf, Teresa Melvin, Anastasia, and Rainbow Mosho – where they showcase their artworks and passions. Hibernation! November has arrived

The end of the year is approaching rapidly, and we’ve had such a great time in November! The Mumzels are enjoying their cozy nest and only come out to eat.

Despite that, some exciting Mumzel stories have taken place. Unfortunately, the end of November required a security update in many polygon contracts, necessitating the updating of many collections. This also impacted the Mumzel stories, requiring us to relaunch the collection in the updated version and present some stories twice to the hunters.

It seems like Revel.xyz is the latest obsession of the mumzels,

but what’s the big deal? It’s just another app for trading and collecting cards, right? Well, the mumzels seem to think it’s more than that. They’re creating their own cards on Revel.xyz, and they want you to join in on the fun! So, head over to the Google or Apple store, download Revel.xyz, enter “Mumzel” as your referral, and start collecting or even creating your own cards.

The mumzels have even written a whole blog post about Revel.xyz, and it looks like there have been plenty of updates and changes since then. They’re talking about only one set per day, an improved trading system, and a game where you can battle with your cards to prove who’s got the strongest one based on some random asset. In short, it seems like a fun way to collect artists and unleash your own set of cards.

And then we finally arrive in December

The last month of December brought a magical atmosphere, where Santa Claus emerged as Mumzelhunter. With enthusiasm, he shared stories about the Christmas mumzel mint and other Christmas tales with the Mumzelholders and hunters.

The Christmas mumzel mint opened especially for the 31 Mumzelhunters we welcomed this past year. They were given the unique opportunity to mint 5 Christmas mumzels for free from December 10th to December 31st, 2023. These special Christmas mumzels had prizes: the hunters could win stickers, NFTs, or one of the 3 caps. This minting action was chosen to give all Mumzelhunters a fair chance at merchandise, as our biggest hunters had already received a T-shirt or cap in the past year. Additionally, everyone who participated received a set of stickers and a thank-you letter as a token of appreciation for their participation in the hunt.

In 2023, we indulged in some amazing Digicaps from the Digicaps project. The highlight was the launch of their new collection, the Raiders, in December. We were lucky to snag one for ourselves! The mumzels are eager to know what else we can expect from the Digicaps project this year.
